I am so very tired of 4 door everything. I don't need or want a bus. If I did, I'd buy an Expedition and be done with it.
Give me a nice short wheel base, 2 door high ground clearance vehicle with enough power to get the job done and the running gear to tolerate the power.
In short, give me a gen 1 Bronco, or it's modern day equivalent.

Agree. There are already plenty of four door vehicles in Ford’s lineup.
All else is a waste of time for most of us unless we are young and single or old and living young ! I like the bib body myself ! so easy to build on a shortened F150 frame, gosh why didn't I think of that ? all behind the rear door is just body panels . So easy to do. Basically just a Crewcab with a shorty box and a topper. So friggen easy. I suppose that cuts into F150 sales 2 ?
Well you probably figured out I don;t guve a crouk what bean counters think or want.
I'm compelled to remind everyone that the 2nd gen Bronco was the best seller to date. Hands down. 2 door super short f150 4x4. I'm sure Ford hasn't forgotten that. Maybe that Raptor-esque 4 door could carry the Excursion badge.
The second generation Bronco was 180" long, on a 104" wheelbase. I don't understand why anyone would think that a 50 foot long school bus with offroad tires has any similarity to that.
(The current Escape is 180" long on a 106" wheelbase.)

You exaggerate my friend. 20 foot is more like it. Go over to the Superduty forum and see which sub forum is most active. 20 foot long Excursions with off road tire's. There was both a 1/2 and a 1 ton version of the Bronco Centurion, remember?
It's all good. I feel that the Bronco everyone wanted was a competitor to the Jeep Wrangler, with more people wanting a Gen 1 Bronco than a Gen 2 Bronco sized vehicle. I remember the Bill Stroppe/Parnelli Jones Gen 1 Broncos fondly. This giant concept truck is not a Bronco in spirit although if Ford chose to, they could add a Bronco Max to their off-road Bronco line.
I can look up specs and of course an Excursion is 20 feet long and weighs 7000-7500 lbs...not something you're gonna get through Jeep trails but great for heavy truck towing and passenger/cargo capacity.
The Bronco Centurion was some kind of aftermarket conversion and no, I don't remember it despite being pretty vehicle-aware. Like conversion van companies used to be, this was a limited market and not one I ever had interest in.
