So I recently upgraded my factory radiator to a bigger summit racing brand radiator. After about 2 months of use it started to leak bad near the bottom somewhere. I’ve seen a couple people post the same thing. There isn’t many other choices on that size of radiator that I’ve seen. So I’m left with either getting another one, or finding a better quality one of that size. I would opt for a stock replacement however I have a freshly built 351w with many performance parts, I’d like to ensure it stays nice and cool this summer, especially while in traffic. If anyone knows of any good quality radiators for these truck please let me know!
I would think that one for a mustang would be considerably smaller than one for a truck. Get the dimensions for a stock one and look for one that is thicker.
I ordered the ADPI/PRO 8011451 for my 97 f250HD 5.8, it's listed for the 96 f250 7.5; triple core aluminum and plastic, keeps old blue cool in tropical island weather hauling whatever
using a champion 4 core polished aluminum rad here no issues here. got it at jegs. https://www.jegs.com/i/Champion-Cool...-150#reviewTab Keeps my 302 nice and cool. I suspect it will work well with the engine swap I have planned soon as well.
Before anything else, you could remove the new radiator and do a leak test, to seek the origin. It might be just a deal of re-gluing one of the plastic tanks to the aluminum body.
