My 2010 raptor rescue/build
I picked up this 2010 raptor wrecked December of 2019 to fix it and mild build it for a daily/dune toy.
Paid $8000 for the truck and new frame. Plan to strip it all down rust repair/proof the body as much as possible. It’s getting a 2017 front clip for it. Plan to run 37’s on it.
Pictures of when I bought it

My father was also redoing a super duty when I bought this so I stripped it down some removed the lift off it and collected parts while waiting to get it on the hoist.
Bought a set of 6 dirty life road kill bead locks and a set of 37’s

I found a really good deal on a rpg frame and bump kit $400 the same guy had OEM struts for the front still in the Ford boxes I paid $300 for those also. He also had a add tire carrier I bought fir $400 also

The new frame before paint

The frame after paint

They don’t offer center caps for the wheels I bought so I decided to make some.

I collected more parts... I’m sure my wife/ups driver hated me lol

Some time the end of February I got the frame in the shop and started assembly of what I could

Finally got the truck on the hoist and pulled the cab

Spent the next few days cleaning and painting parts

Finally had a nice clean frame to build on

Next I cleaned and painted the engine etc and drilled out some exhaust studs.

Once that was done I dropped the drivetrain back in the frame and stuffed some long tube headers in the frame rails and built a 3” ss exhaust

Removed the damaged structure on the front end

Started fitting the 2017 conversion parts.

Dropped the cab back down on the frame so I could start building a structure for the front end

After I had the glass all on I chopper the front frame horns off and started building my front bumper

Here I’m teaching my 6 year old son to weld

I reinforced my lower control arm mounts also

I built a light bar on the Bridgeport at home

In October I decided it was time to paint my front end.

A week later we went back to the dunes for the last run of the season before they closed

I borrowed my dads truck to tow it to the dunes

I smashed my freshly fenders at the dunes

I trimmed my fenders up and repaired the passengers side

3 weekends ago we went to our cabin for a end of the year ride befor snowmobile season starts. Lol I lead the back of 6 sxs we averaged 55 mph through the woods

That brings the thread current. Plans for the future are to cage it and coyote swap it once I finish the motor. I also plan to add some triple bypass’s I’m currently building a 79 super cab on a 97 chassis 460 with a 5 speed as a new daily/tow rig at the request of my wife lol
