Oem Brakes Pads??

What brake pads are most people putting on the x. Can't figure out why the pads are so high compared to other suv's that i have owned. Four way disc is pretty easy to fix, but couldn't beleive the price even the after market price's. Anyone won't to share an online place to buy them. I do won't quality, and will eventually change the Rotors to a higher grade slotted version, but for now being short on cash because of the holidays coming up will have to buy just pads for the original rotor's.

I put a set of Performance Fricton pads all the way around on my dad's X. They seem to do a reasonable job at stopping 7300 lbs of vehicle, and they also seem to be rotor-friendly, for a semi-metallic pad. We haven't towed anything with it yet since I did the job, so I can't say how the rig would stop with a few thousand pounds of trailer in tow.

Did you need to or want to change the pads. If needed to how many miles on it when you did, do you tow at all???
