@jschira I just noticed your signature. Usually my eyes glaze over signatures, but I was trying to see what Ford truck you used to have, before switching to your Denali. I guess I'll have to read your post history to learn why you made the change, but in the meantime, that signature! Wow! You have quite an enviable collection of vehicles... each quite different... each for a different purpose... each being a dream car for various someones... and each in your own driveway. I'll bet you never get bored behind a steering wheel.
Should be pretty easy to get over 20mpg in these trucks. The third gen 6.7 with 3.31 gears is returning 21+ average for most.
That's enviable in most truck circles and I've learned with my ecoboost and 3.31's that with the right engine / transmission, the 3.31's are a good way to go.
My 2018 RAM 3500 dually w/ Aisin trans and 4.10 gears...........55XX miles since last fuel filter change has used 325 gallons of fuel.......right at 17 MPG.
That 55XX miles includes 1200 mi hauling a Jeep on a flatbed from AZ to WY; then empty from WY to ND, then return to AZ empty; then a 400 mile trip pulling my 18000 lb Raptor toy hauler 5er, and just my normal running around rural parts of AZ. So I am happy with it.
