The PA Chapter's "Back to School" September 2020 Chat and B/S Thread
Kids are either in or headed back to school as the calendar flops over another month toward the end of this year. And in many ways, it can't end soon enough for many of us.
Since show season's been pretty much a bust, I've turned my attention to projects. I've had the OBS back on the road (if only for 20 minutes) but it still needs a few bugs shaken out of it. Happens when they sit too long. The 98 is off getting bodywork done, and I've been painting stuff for it (stuff like skid plates, aftermarket add-ons that weren't on yet, a couple other things I've pulled from it after it got to the shop) here at the house as well. The goal, to be ready for 2021's schedule (which hopefully will return to normal...fingers crossed). 98 should be back later this month...we're taking our time and making sure everything's handled right. Loads of time between now and May 2021 that will go away fast I'm sure.
I think that's all I've got to say at the moment - you know what to do, so, do it.
They milled yesterday, sounds like they're starting top coat today. They milled 3 or 4 of the more main streets in the neighborhood, not sure how many more they're going to do overall. The streets around here have been awful with the sewage project first then the gas line upgrades. Neither contractor did much to fix things properly after their trenching operations.
Speaking of the sewage project - seems it didn't pass muster with DEP...now the township is passing more rules/costs on to residents before December of '21...pressure testing, certificate of compliance, etc...
Evening PA! They threw some cold patch towards a couple of holes in the road in front of out house today, that is probably going to be it for the year!
Hello, Gang! I must have missed an email somewhere along the way because the updates from the August thread (& consequently, this thread) disappeared.... Have no fear, I logged in myself and got caught up the Neanderthal way! Time to shop for car insurance. The oldest turns 16 this weekend!
