I was pulling a hill and put some extra oats to her and this weird sqwaull noise is coming from in the engine bay on the passenger side area. Right around 20psi on the boost gage.
fuel rails maybe? Runs fine lots of power. I Checked my intake boots there all good, no exhaust leek on the downpipe.
even when on flat ground I hear this sqwaull whoosh noise when I am really putting the fuel to it.
wondering if anyone has here this?
I get the same noise on my ‘19 6.7 when towing hills on aggressively on the throttle. For me I can hear the normal turbo whistle but once it pushes towards the upper limits of designed boost, I’ll get that air rushing noise from the passenger side of the engine bay. I’ve only got about 5k miles on my truck and it’s always done it. No loss of power, no fault lights and no loss of mpg. Just sounds “odd”. I’ve written it off as being normal, possibly the wastegate. Hopefully someone in the know will chime in and shed some light on this.
