The PA Chapter's "May We Turn the Corner" May 2020 Chat and B/S Thread
I dunno about you, but after 43 days of working from home I'm ready to go back to the plant.
I guess this is where the rubber meets the road in terms of where the summer schedule goes. It won't be long until dates that are on the summer calendar get here - but, will we turn the corner and get to have that fun or will we be stuck indoors? Carlisle Events is holding on to the date for Ford Nationals (first weekend in June) as is the folks who put on the 4-Wheel Jamboree series events (Lima, OH on June 12-14) as of now, but that can all change. Regardless, I know for me personally, final preparations need to pick up the pace. I always hesitate to talk too much about what I'm up to. It's that weird dynamic of knowing there are folks who want to be doing some of the same things I am who are out of work right now and I feel like it'd be bad ju-ju on my part to be posting all of these "look what I'm doing" things. I wrestle with it.
Anyhow, that's enough outta me. You know what to do, do it.
Welp, for any and all reading who were considering heading to Carlisle for Ford Nationals on June 2-4, that event is postponed until July 31-August 2. It's the weekend before Truck Nationals, but no word if Truck is moving or not, yet.

I was holding out hope that it would stay put, but after the governors' press conference today I assumed it was moving. He released 24 counties from "stay at home" orders effective May 8, but Cumberland (where Carlisle is) and Cambria (where I am) were not among them. This just made it official.

Yeah I'm a bit surprised they're going back to back on the two events Denny, but I guess there's not much option with the number of other events they host at Carlisle through the summer months.
