Mounting and Balancing Tires

If you are buying tires, I suggest the higher volume outfits like Big O or Discount. Tires out here tend to not last due to the heat, UV and ozone pollution from all our sun so for a common tire you are more likely to get a later build date with these companies due to the inventory turnover. If you order tires or go to a smaller shop, check the date code on each tire.
I find that for small things, any of the small used tire shops (they are usually painted yellow!) do a pretty good job just doing a mount and balance. I do this for trailer tires. I order them online and just pay one of these shops to mount and balance. Make sure when you get a price from them they include the balance as that is usually $5 more. Most straight forward mounting at these shops is around $10-12/tire.
For specialty tires, I can't speak to that as I don't have anything that requires them.
