6.0 vs 7.3 hp

I have a 06 6.0 automatic that is bone stock with the exception of being deleted. I have a scan gauge on it and can easily get boost numbers in the upper 20lbs. With that said I just dont feel like it has the power of my 97 7.3. My 7.3 has a ts 6 pos tuner on it and is a 5speed. I always thought the 6.0 was a step up power wise from the 7.3. But I just dont feel it. Could it be I'm feeling more torque from the 5speed vs the auto?

My 06 F350 4x4 CCSB 6.0L will smoke all my 96/97 7.3L, it's not even close!! My 06 is all stock and 2 of my 7.3's are bone stock. I have a Bank power supply on my 97 7.3 and it runs great, with a little more pep than the stock 7.3's BUT again wouldn't come close to the 6.0. All of the trucks are AT's...and IIRC, the 6.0's are around 1000lbs heavier!!

The OBS 7.3 is quite a bit lighter than an 05+ Superduty, you don't get as much power loss with the 5 speed, and a stock 6.0 is making about the same power as your tuned 7.3, If you dynoed both of them they would probably be within 10% of each other for HP and torque.
