F350/F450 classic cab frames
Hello everyone. I’m new on here and looking for some information about my F350 classic cab. I currently have a 2016 F350 classic cab with a flat bed, frames rails are straight behind cab to end of frame, no step up. I am looking at possibly stepping up to a F450 because we haul a skid steer and roller and gross weight around 25,000lbs so I would like the bigger brakes and other things the 450 offers for more weight. My question is will I be able to use the same flatbed on an F450 cab chassis if the wheelbase is the same. I have the flatbed all setup with my boxes for tools, etc. don’t want to put a new bed, just swap. Thanks for the help

Yes, the flat bed will transfer over from the F350 chassis cab to the F450 chassis cab if the distances between the back of the Cab to the center line of the rear Axle are the same. The wheelbase doesn't matter. One truck could be a crew cab, the other truck could be a single cab, yet if the Cab to rear Axle distance is the same in both trucks, then the flat bed will swap over. The Cab to rear Axle distance is what matters. This distance is referred to as CA. (e.g. 60" CA, 84" CA)
