for an old retired guy, I'm far too busy... haven't had time to sit down and do my Christmas epistle.. so remember what I wrote last year... do right like yo mama told you and this
Hope each and everyone of you and me have a Merry Christmas and a Happy and healthy New Year. OH! YA! and all the yahoo's in Washington D.C. to get a hobby like ours and then it would not matter what side your on we would all be on the old truck side.
Thank you John. Same to you. We all know what is right. We just don't so right all the time. I'm thankful I have a forgiving God.
About pols in DC liking old trucks. Did you ever see Devin Nunes give an interview in his home district in front of all those old tractors? Red ones, green ones, light grey ones with red fenders orange ones..... He's in a farming area of CA so maybe he appreciates old iron.
Christmas greetings John! I'm sentimental and a traditionalist, and must tell you that your usual Christmas Epistle is missed. Your annual Christmas message was a very special FTE tradition unique to our little part of the internet, and I'm sorry to see it discontinued. Being retired, however, I do understand. I too no longer find time to do many of the things I used to do.
Merry Christmas to you and to all our FTE friends!
Once again you have brought a smile to my face. For what ever reason the season just doesn't seem like the season yet. I'm not even my usual Mr. Grumpy McGrinch, heck I'm pretty much stuck in the "meh" zone and am just not really feeling it. Not even enough to be a Grinch.
Warm wishes to you. Your heartfelt sentiments from prior Christmas Epistles all still ring true and are as viable today as when you first typed them out.

Hey Bobby I understand the MEH place.... I go there sometimes but all I have to do to get out is look around, not even far away, and see other people who are truly suffering with illness, chronic pain, financial or personal problems... a thousand things I can't even imagine dealing with and they are doing it with a happy face.. gets me out of Mehtown quick ! I realize how wonderfully blessed I am. Just smile, Bobby it helps.. Merry Christmas, my friend !
I can usually pull myself out of it. Like you say a quick look around typically does the trick, a beautiful sunrise, a sunny day, a reflection on my blessings; healthy body, healthy family, food in the pantry, etc lets me know how great things really are.
(but this holiday season is still just......meh)...LOL
This morning is finally starting to feel like Christmas. Maybe it was the day of cooking and doing dishes, because nothing says Christmas like doing the dishes several times a day
Merry Christmas everyone!!!
Thanks John and I look forward to next years epistle. May you all have a Merry Christmas and enjoy the New Year with your family and friends, but keep working on those trucks.
