I'll be at the Mixteca Cruise-In at 67th Avenue and Bell Road with my Maverick this weekend (the F-100 isn't anywhere close to driveable yet). Even though I live just a couple miles away, I never seem to remember to head up there to check out the vehicles. Anyone else going out this weekend? If you see a few Mavericks parked, come by and say Hi. It's our annual maverick/comet club mini meet.
What other shows or meets do you all go to? I know there are a few around, but I always seen to hear about them the week after........
Is that a monthly deal, or more often? Saturdays, or Sunday? If I get something running, that would be a nice fun drive from Queen Creek, to meet you, and see your stuff. Also a good way to verify I haven't forgotten to tighten up something before I head to Flagstaff or southern California. I haven't driven my yellow car in awhile. It's pushed over against the wall, out of the way, so I can get three vehicles in my garage and still work on the big truck.
Out here in round valley we have the chrome in the dome every year, but last time it was about 90% chevy, and mopar. 6th gen ford trucks were completely non existent. That's one of the few things I miss from California. I could hit a meet or show dang near monthly or more. I know show low has a few shows a year, but for some reason ford trucks are pretty scarce at them also, even though I see some really nice ones driving around town on occasion.
