LED headlight truck recall

From the ford-trucks Main-page... this impacts us too.

Affected vehicles are equipped with high-series daytime running lamps controlled by an incorrectly configured body control module. When the daytime running lamps are illuminated and the master lighting switch is moved to the low-beam position, the daytime running lamps do not revert to parking lamp intensity as required by federal motor vehicle safety standards.”

I think my truck does this and I like it that way

I am very pleased with my lights after I adjusted them. I will be telling my dealer DO NOT TOUCH my lights the next time it is in for anything. I always upgrade, modify and adjust the lights on my vehicles. I get flashed a lot but that means they see me and when they speed up to get in front of me they suffer the brightness! I guess this come from riding motorcycles most of my life. "I know everything there is to know about exterior illumination!"

Are you serious?

Do you really believe that the reason you get flashed a lot by oncoming drivers is because they see you?

Your modifications and more than likely it’s your "adjustment“ which is obviously wrong, is the reason you’re being flashed and for you to get a kick /laugh out of the same wrong light adjustment when a driver gets in front of you says something about your character.

I hope it doesn’t happen but don’t be surprised if one night you pull up on another driver from behind with the same headlight adjustment and said driver responds in a way that you’re not prepared for.

I have a 2019 and never been flashed. This should be a non issue, just some young .gov worker or competitor Ratting and causing problems. But it seems like mine dim some when the lights come on? Maybe an illusion.

I agree with above if you jack with the lights to where you affect others where they need to flash you someone needs to take you out back and teach you a lesson. Older people, families, and even people with minor vision problems may have a hard time driving safe with your lights; besides being annoying.
