6.7L MPG Awesome

After 3 years of owning a 6.7L Lariat (2017 then 2019) the efficiency at 60 MPH amazes me. I routinely drive a 125 mile trip between house and cabin. The speed limit is 60 MPH and I try to maintain that due to the State Farm cost savings Bluetooth dongle. If I exceed the speed limit it reports it to a Stare Farm and reduces my discount. I’m an old fart so driving the speed limit doesn’t bother me.

Anyway, I always see 21+ MPG on that trip. Here’s today’s trip 23+ MPG.

I should try that some time. It’s hard to not get run over on the roads by me if you’re under 75

Great fuel mileage

Wow that 23+ mpg is nice. Unfortunately try to drive 60 on roads in TX and will likely cause an accident, as most peeps drive 80+ mph. My gasser has been stuck on 12.2 mpg for ever since I bought it. 4.30 axles, 6.2 gas. I drive to stay with traffic. I knew it got horrible fuel mileage before I bought the truck so not complaining, it would be great if it got closer to 18 mpg but there is no way this truck will ever do that, even driving 60 all the time, even if that was possible and it's not.

Fly i have experienced the same numbers at 60 over a 60 mile stretch in SC thats full of speed traps lol. I have managed a 18.9 mpg at 80 mph on a 1200 mile round trip unloaded . The heavier the traffic the better the mileage lol drafting seems to help the mileage .

Traffic is usually going 75 - 80 around here. Going 60 would have grandma flipping you off. If someone didn’t rear end you.

I've never seen over 18 MPG, and my truck reads 8% higher than hand calculated.

I'm around a lot of 6.2 F250 trucks with 3.73s. Around town, farms, some light towing and highway driving and I've yet to see one get over 10. You're doing good!

Well, that mileage is based on a wholly different usage than what the OP is describing. My 6.2 with 4.30's averaged 16.0 MPG over 3,500 miles this summer in every day use. And it will do 18 MPG on a long trip at 65 MPH. So, a lot is about the driver and how the truck is being used.

If I had a "State Farm Dongle" they would cancel me.
That said, My 6.2 4.30 250 when running the mostly flat county roads through the Pinelands here in N.J. can return 16 mpg. 50 mph limits. Speeds range from less than the limit to 60 ish. Best at night with cruze on and no traffic. Then as you head north the traffic lights start. Each red dropping the average a bit. Then the interstate and garbage trucks are running 80. My highway averages are in the 12s. My commute to work average is in the 13s now with winter fuel but I had been averaging in the mid 14s. Each tank starts in the 14s on the 50 mph roads. One round trip to my folks house... 60 miles round trip on Rt 78 ....the entire tank will barely see 13.
I checked my lieometer against the calculator a few times and its close enough that I dont bother.
In fact after 7,000 miles playing with the blue line to see how my fuel economy was... Im tired of it and just leave the digital speedo on..... too distracting.

Agree and my MPGs are almost as good as yours. 15.8 average this summer and 17.5 if staying ~65 MPH on long trip. 4.30s as well.

Dido, my 19’ F250 6.2 3.73’s gives me a very consistent 10-11ish mpg (dash readout), Highway and city driving ... running 35/12.50/20’s though...
