2001 f250 7.3 powerstroke, 2 weeks ago some how he ran his truck out of fuel which he has never since buying it new. We had to changed the fuel filter, pressurized the lines with help of reading all the threads on this great forum, it finally started. It ran great for about a week, while he was coming home from work the truck died with plent of full, it would start and go 20 miles and do it again and again. He made home went to work the next day fine, when he went to move it wouldn't start. Fuel filter is fine, bled the fuel line it has pressure. He changed the CPS and it still won't start! Help please
The fuel bowl heater gets mentioned because if it shorts out, it kills power to the computer and the truck won't run.
The hutch/harpoon mod are the in tank mods. There are screen filters inside the tank that can get clogged up. The rubber foot on the fuel line pick up in the tank is also known to deteriorate. Running it out of fuel might have sucked something up either into the line itself, or clogged the screens in the tank.
Dropping a full tank is no fun. Hopefully you have some cans you can pump the fuel out into before you drop it. Unless you have lots of help or some equipment and decide removing the bed would be easier. Either way, you'll likely need to get inside the tank to fix this.
If the timing isn't right to do this, you can try pulling the fuel line off the back of the fuel pump and spraying compressed air back into the line to see if you can clear the obstructions. Just be sure to remove the fuel cap first so you don't crack the plastic tank, or cause a stream of fuel to shoot back at you under the truck at high pressure.
Don't get too fixated on fuel and overlook another problem that may be a coincidence.
Check Engine light illuminated?
Proper oil level?
Fully charged batteries and adequate cranking rpm's?
Does Wait to Start Light illuminate when key is turned to run?
There are some pretty good 'no start' tutorials on here. Check them out and report back!

I would try this first. There is a good chance you sucked up some junk in the tank into the filters in the fuel pick up in the tank and do not have good flow due to that.
