Hi all first time poster. im looking to take a blown V10 Triton out of a 2005 limited 4x4 excursion and swap in a running 6.0 out of a f350.
im hoping to get general advice for the swap and what i should be on the lookout for.
the plan as it stands barring any info i gain from here is take body and bed off of f350 and the body off the excursion to make swap easier. We are including the tranny in both swaps(obviously). the body removal isn't the biggest as we have a floor lift to lift the body off the frame. we are also planning on bulletproofing the engine, but we haven't decided whether or not to do it in house or delegate it out to someone to do professionally.
long and short of it is, I'm just looking to get what info i can from you guys and ladies to ease the swap.

Keep the non running V-10. Much more reliable than a running 6.0. LOL.
seriously. From the reading I see here this swap is very involved. You may be better off selling it and going with a Cummins!
The reason for the swap and the engine were using is, we have a running engine that we got at the cost of a different vehicle. We chose to get the excursion running because it fills the gap of a 1998 1500 suburban w/ a 6.5l turbodiesel. The suburban was lost to a driver w/ a suspended liscense and no insurance so we essentially instead of making them pay out of pocket to fix the suburban we just asked if they would be willing to let us have the f350. So it's mostly a convience thing and we are aware of the pitfalls a 6.0l has.
