1996 F-150 shifter **** question
Hi everyone,

I was wanting to straighten up my crooked shifter **** (see photo) and was wondering if the **** unscrews or is just glued on and I could pull it straight up and off? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Its a splined end.

I originally thought it was threaded, my apologies for not checking before posting. Just wanted to correct this so nobody sees it and mistakes it.

my 1995 shaft is splined.
**** slips on with some adhesive
in another thread I and others explained better procedure.

If the **** is like my 92, the **** is ok. the insert has turned.

I took a fairly rough wash cloth and pressed hard and turned. I started to remove the insert but was afraid of damaging it.
