When I lock my hubs in 2wd, i have a constant grinding noise coming from drivers front tire area. Shift into 4wd and it goes away, mostly. In 4wd it’s not heard when giving constant throttle, only when coasting or with slight throttle.
Pretty sure its a bad spindle bearing, possibly something not right in the hub
At any rate, if i just remove the hub and the spindle, take the spindle to a shop to remove and press in a new bearing, is there anything I need to do other than just reinstall the spindle and hub and move on?

truck is a 1997 f 250 Dana 50 with aftermarket hubs, not WARNS...
I have been busy with work and kid lately and haven’t had a few extra hours to pull the spindle off yet, but I’m fairly sure I found the source of my vibrations. My truck has a 4” lift that was on it when I bought it, and I’m thinking its the front driveshaft vibrating. Seems to be a common problem with these trucks lifted more than 2.5”.
I had to drive my truck about 80 miles in 4x4 a bit ago and found that my vibes only happen while coasting in 4x4. In 2wd with hubs locked noise is constant. So constant throttle in 4x4 I have zero noise.
I pulled the front driveshaft when I first heard the noise and replaced the front u joint, rear seemed fine: should have drove it with the hubs locked in 2wd to see if I still had vibes, that’s my next step when I can get to it.
