Lightbulb Recommendations for New F-Truck Dealer??

Hi all,
New member here as I am about to purchase a new 2019 F250.
I'm based in Melbourne, but seems like most dealers are using VDC conversion in Melbourne anyway (apart from Performax).

Was hoping to ask everyone for recommendations/advice on experience buying from the dealers around.
They all seem really nice, and super helpful. I have my own pros/cons I'm weighing up, but wondered if anyone had any experiences they'd like to share?

Specifically I've spoken with Harrison F-Trucks (VIC), Mega Trucks (NSW), and CampterAgent (SA).

Big purchase for my dream truck, so wanting to make a good decision!

Cheers,
Dan

Hey Dan,

I just picked my new 2018 (MY19) up from Harrison F Trucks. The person to speak to is Kelvin. This is my second F250 from them. First was in 2013 (MY12). Kelvin knows his stuff. Apart from taking almost a year to get a special order one, the servce from Harrison F Trucks have been great.

I did look at Performax, and when asking them some basic questions, they really didn't know. Their price was more expensive too.

I was about to jump ship and get a HSV converted Silverado, but Harrison F Trucks put up their hand to look after me again. I'm glad I choose the Ford.

Good luck with everything.

Cheers, Mal

This is a really late response - sorry, I only just saw the message you left me.

You may have already pursued this, but from reports I've heard, is that VDC offer the best after sales service. If you are buying a converted truck, there is the propensity for it to have issues, and you want someone that will stand behind the work they have done. I've had many with mine, but that is due to getting it converted in the USA, and the party that did the conversion on my truck using the fact I'm on the otherside of the world to their advantage. That said the experience I have had isn't representative of most of the vehicles on the road.

I'd encourage you to call Rod from Alcorn Automotive in Braybrook (he's my mechanic, and has fixed most of the f' ups mine has had). He works on almost all of them after they leave the factory, and can probably speak to which of them offer the best build, but I suspect he will say VDC.
