Not trying to use this as a social media platform, but is there anyone local the Chesapeake area of Virginia that would be interested in helping me with my truck? One of the biggest hurdles that I will not tackle without help, especially experienced help is re-gearing my front and rear diffs. I would like to get a set of 4.10 gears. I have a Spartan locker ready to go into my rear 8.8 with the 3.08 gears along with outer bearings etc. I am self-taught and I work outside on loose gravel out a 7x7 shed. Of course I am willing to help others in my area although I am not a mechanic, by any means. You can respond here or PM to get my contact information. Other items I would like to accomplish is testing the vacuum system on my truck, compression tests of the cylinders to determine how bad my blowby is, and verifying my timing is as it should be. Currently I am wanting to get the bed off my truck to replace the rear fuel pump, maybe 38 gallon swap it if I can afford a tank at the time and repair/troubleshoot my front sending unit. I likely can get my brother-in-law to assist with removing the bed come warmer weather and spare time . downtime for the truck.

I'm about 4 1/2 hrs away, near Stuart. Otherwise...
Might be just as easy to drop the tank instead of taking the bed off. I found it's easier to un-hook the connections from the pump, by dropping the rear of the tank down first.
