So I just bought a 2013 6.7 F250 and I’ve already had problems with the DEF.
Wantinf to delete it out of there. I know I need a new exhaust pipe to get rid of the DPF and I know I need a tuner. Is there any special tuner I need for the delete? Or does any tuner technically work? I want one with a monitor
Any new tuner on the market will work, just pick a reputable one with a reputable tuning company writing the files. Tunes are very expensive, but it seems like you get what you pay for. Some tune packages have the capability of adjusting power levels on the fly, called shift on the fly. If you get one of those you'll need a SOTF switch.
Tuner, tunes, SOTF switch, EGR block off plates, race pipe and you're done.
Thanks a bunch. I have been looking into the Patriot tuners and think I might go that route. Never have deleted before but a friend of mine has deleted a 6.4 so it should go pretty decent.

I had never deleted a truck either as I never saw the need, but when Ford tells me they cannot fix my issues with the regens, and wanting me to trade it, NOPE!!! Two hours with the truck up on Rhino ramps, the Patriot tuner, the FloPro stainless pipe kit and the dummy plugs by Shibby Engineering and she was done! Should have done this long ago.

After picking up my used (but new to me) 2014 F250 and discovering I have a DEF sensor issue I decided to go the delete route. I visited a reputable long time diesel shop in the local area and they will be deleting DPF and adding a 4" pipe and Flo Pro muffler, installing SCT tuner, adding the CP4 disaster prevention kit, and installing the intercooler pipe upgrade.
I have bought the NO LIMIT 6.7 EGR BLOCK OFF SET #67BPK and will install this myself. The shop told me I didn't have to delete the EGR as the tuner will just tune it out. However for $100 I wanted to preserve the EGR in case I had to ever go back to stock.
