This is another question I have been curious about. I bought the pre-bled Wagner from rockauto for $40-45 or so. It's great but the pedal is a pretty stout push. Some of the other parts mention solid flywheel and this one didn't. I don't know if there are units that will give you more hydraulic advantage and a better feel to the pedal.
I just use an auto zone unit and like it quite a bit. But here is the key. Don’t use the recommended slave cylinder. Do a search and double check me, but I believe I got one for an 1989 f350. The slave is bigger and has a bleeder screw. It was an exact fit and seems much more robust
Whatever was on my rig is still there, I just flushed the system out. Did a gravity bleed, make sure to keep it full and suck out the old **** on the master first. Took about 15 or 20 min, just enough time to suck down a cold one! Moisture in the hydraulic fluid (brake fluid in this case) is what kills the seals.
