Looking for 4 11 gears for 1957 Ford F350
Axle Plate
I am breathing life back into a 57 Ford F350 and I am trying to get more that 50 MPH out of it.
It has 5 14 rear end. Was told I could get 4 11. Does anyone know where I could buy one? or have any suggestion on a different axle that will swap out without a lot of work? I am on the road working in Cape Cod and only go home for 3 days at a time and would have to pay someone to do most of the work.
Or any suggestions....It has a 1964 390 4 speed. LOW GEARED. can start off in 3rd. I would like to use it as a daily driver eventually. I am more of a body guy...not a mechanic.
Any other Ideals

1957/58 F350 has a Timken model B100 rear axle. Available ratios: 4.86-1 ~ 5.14-1 ~ 5.83-1
Dana 70 rear axles introduced on some 1961/62 F350's, all 1963/66 F350's have the Dana 70.
All 1953/66 F350's have 6 lug wheels on a 7.25" bolt circle. 1967/97 F350's have 8 lug wheels on a 6.50" bolt circle.

Building on Bill’s comment, the Dana (Spicer) 70 axles in 1963 (based on my 1957-1963 Chassis Catalog and presume the same through 1966) could have been spec’d with a 4.10/1 gear set. There were two axle cases, 4.56/1 ratio and up and 4.10/1 and down numerically. The cases that were coded with #s 26403, 31708, and 30786 could/would have the 4.10/1 gear set. The part number for the 4.10/1 gear set is C6TZ 4209-H. The Ford number for this D70 case is C9TZ 4204-B. All of these would have hubs and wheels having the 6 x 7.25” pattern. Stu

Notice in this pic of parts list 96 (scroll down a bit) that the Ring & Pinion part numbers reflect 1966: C6TZ-4209-H & C6TZ-4209-K
The original loose leaf paper parts catalog for these trucks was for 1957/69, so this is why some of the application charts in this catalog say 1963/
In 1970, Ford removed the loose leaf pages for 1957/63, then placed them in 3 bound paper catalogs.
I have two of these original 1957/69 loose leaf paper parts catalogs and a complete set (3) of the 1957/63 bound paper catalog, two text, one illustration.
