Need help!
I am rebuilding a 1948 F47 pick-up. This was not a complete vehicle, cab and chassis of unknown history. The running boards are too high and the front fenders protrude below the running boards. I have attached pictures/measurements of the problem. The cab fits fine and the running board brackets are still riveted to the frame. I can't understand how I can get the running boards lower , or the cab / fenders higher . The running boards are reproduction. But even with just a straight edge, the fenders will be lower than the line of the brackets. Can any of you out there, please check your trucks against the measurements posted here. Thank you!
