Cooling....

Hey you guys,

When I start driving, my oil pressure gauge is way up. During heating-up the engine, the temp-gauge is also moving to high readings. This goes on for a bit and they both change when I stop the car, they go low.
The strange thing is, when I shut off the car for a few minutes and re-start her, both gauges are in the normal and stay there.

Any idea what this could be ?

Bad constant voltage regulator. It is in the back of the dashboard. It is a $20 part.

Buy the electronic replacement, it's far more accurate and reliable.

Also check the grounds between the engine, body & frame, a bad ground will give high and inconsistent readings.
