True 68 Ranger Grille

Quite possibly be the last true 68 Ranger grille I do. The older I get, the scarier the buffing machine gets. Considering all that has gone on in my life over the past two years I'm still able to do a little polishing, not as aggressive as before, but the quality has improved.
Enjoy the pictures

1968 Custom Cab & Ranger share the same anodized aluminum grille. The 1969 Ranger grille and headlamp doors are unique.

The Ranger grille emblem was used 1968/69.

Your grill looks amazing. Better than new. That is my exact grill too. What process and technique did you use to get it like that. I see a new project in my future.

Thank you all that commented. I enjoy doing this work. My grilles really look good on these trucks. People that have them say when at a show, the front "BLING" brings people to their truck. I like that.

gangstakr, you truly have a fine skill. Your work is always amazing. I hope you can pass that knowledge on when (if ever) you decide to retire from it. You make our truck world a better place.

Well I sure as heck can't help- Sounds like we both do the same style of grill work.

You need to strip the grille of all it's anodizing first. Tap out dings then sand and polish.

moving metal is a fine art , done in very small steps .
most people try to bang out dents in one hit . this is wrong
little taps , check tap again ...repeat sometimes a little heat and wet sponge is needed to shrink metal back into it's correct shape but this is very hard to do .
