Hi All, Long time, no postings but been keeping an eye on the forum from time to time.
Have a query relating to a part number, or numbers, for a 1968-1973 Ford F100-250-350 clutch throwout lever, pedestal and rubber boot if anyone can assist NP435 transmission came from behind an inline 6-300.
Original lever had a little wire spring which clipped into the fork pedestal. Apparently there was an upgrade, same shaped fork but was retained with a different type of clip.
Probably have to get the lever, pedestal and a new rubber boot sent over from the US, unless anyone may know where I can get them here in Oz.
Either way, going to need part numbers for the three items.
If I have them here, if and when I have to separate the transmission from the engine, I would change them over then.
Don't know about anyone else, but those levers with the little wire spring are not very well designed by my way of thinking. Only advantage is you can remove the fork lever through the aperture without separating the engine/trans. Only have to bump them somehow when working in the area and the fool things jump off the pedestal. Go back in OK, if your standing on your head, torch in mouth, holding lever in one hand and using a fine pointed screwdriver to work the spring over the tang at the base of the pedestal. No wonder they changed the design, bugga of an idea! Even if you have to split the box from the donk to install it.
So, anyone be able to help with sourcing the items? Or part numbers?
