Ya I think ford just filed that patent just as a brainstorming idea but they have no intention of actually doing it. Hardly anyone would want it and there are far too many variables off-road for a self driving vehicle. Plus, any obstical that a stock vehicle would even attempt to do is not too dangerous for a person to be in the vehicle.
Not a chance. Ford has expressed this will be a driver's truck. The Bronco will be the last in the lineup to ever receive self driving capabilities. That would be in the realm as buying the newest mustang in a manual with self driving capabilities. If you dont wanna drive why care what model to get?
