Getting rid of the chrome!

I finally got around to ordering new front bumper and rear bumper. Grill just came in today!

It'll be nice. I want to do my bumpers but I can't wait in the down time. My only vehicle right now. It'll take me allweekend to take off and paint and dry reinstall

That’s why I decided to just buy new bumpers and grill.

OK, what am I missing? I still see lots of chrome. . . . .

BTW, I don't like chrome either but couldn't justify the cost for platinum. Would love to have body color bumpers.

Get them wrapped. I have an appointment to get a clear protective wrap applied to my painted front bumper. I picked up a Craigslist Lariat grille, pulled the chrome cross-bars and dropped them off to be wrapped matching my paint. Then my only downtime will be pulling my KR grille, swapping out the bars and reinstall. Can always pull the wrapping off later.

Bumpers I bought are take offs from a king ranch. I looked into new but only found them primed new.

Where did you find new primed front bumpers? I have only been able to find takeoff front bumpers and most of the time people want an arm and a leg for one. I will need to paint them regardless since my truck is OX White, no platinums or king ranch came with OX White.

Your dealer for the front bumper it’s not cheap. Like you said they need paint anyway. I wanted the whole bumper so I could have an extra without dissembling my original bumper.

Stripped the front and rear bumpers of all plastics and sent over to get painted. I will need to swap over the adaptive cruise module and led fogs.
