Questions for those who have special ordered......
Do some dealers give invoice minus rebates on special orders? If so, please list the dealers name and location. The closer to Pittsburgh, PA the better. But, willing to travel.
Do you get a choice of rebates at time of ordering and /or at time of delivery?
Mine is due to delivery any day...its in the area just not at my dealer yet.
I got mine thru Holiday Ford in Whitesboro, TX. They have been discussed on many threads and give some of the best pricing in the country and for sure in DFW.
They just gave me the pricing including the rebates when I ordered but I would get the rebates for when I take delivery. Rebates are $500 better if you finance thru Ford now than they were in Aug.
I also asked my dealer what happens if my truck does not get here until Nov. He went off and checked and said Superduty rebates were not changing again until Jan.

I ordered a F450 KR ultimate from Koons in Baltimore (Tim Robinson). Took delivery 3/1, well below invoice (still got rebates), zero hassle . I think they have a few F450 trucks well below invoice on the lot.
I have a 2018 on order. Invoice-500-any rebates valid at the delivery time. No fees except tax/title/registration. To me, I got a reasonable deal...nothing over-the-top great.
I shopped by internet (emails to sales manager). Sent dealers the configuration I wanted and requested a quote. Invoice was common among competitive dealers. Visited a local dealer that quoted invoice with the least hassle. I offered invoice-1000...we settled at -500.
Stay away from the typical retail showroom floor sales person. They are very often compensated to conduct business in the traditional old school approach that the average
consumer is poorly equipped to engage. Skilled sales people do their job well, and way more often, then the typical customer buys a vehicle. The internet is your friend!

I recently looked, they had some killer deals on 2017 models.
I locked in my sale price at time of ordering. I did not know ... nor did I care ... which discounts I got because the bottom line was good to me (11% off MSRP). This was at Bowditch Ford in Newport News, VA. A coworker bought a "base" (read that as "not well equipped") 2016 F150 from Koons Ford in Silver Spring, VA, but I did not inquire there since they (and nobody else) had what I wanted within 100 mile radius of home.

Yes -- got under invoice (as many others have) plus rebates. Dealer said whatever rebates were better when truck came in is what I get. Needless to say all worked out well.
Highly recommend Grady Commercial Sales Manager or his Right hand man Seth at Upper Marlboro Ford in Maryland. They are on my list of good pls to do business in future(very rare to find dealer like that)
Ordered a 2018 F250 at invoice. In addition, I will get the best of any rebates at time of order (none) or at time of actual purchase transaction (delivery of truck).
Ordered a 2018 for Invoice - 100% of holdback (~$2300) - rebates at the time of delivery + TTL.
I simply typed up an email detailing what I wanted to order and sent it off to approximately 15 internet managers within 1.5 hours of my house and told them all that the best price would get my business. Once one dealer offered that price, most of them followed, so I had my pick of dealers to order from.
I did all negotiating from my keyboard and over the phone and only walked in to the dealer to sign the order form.
