I bought a used 2006 F-250 Power Passenger Seat track and motor. I'd like to ad this to my 2000 Ex which only has power drivers seat in it. Does anybody know if the wires are already under the carpet on the passenger side??
I do not recall any connector for my 01 so I looked it up, factory wiring diagram doesn't even show a power passenger seat option so I looked at the 05 wire diagram and it doesn't show it either. The 05 does have wiring for a driver memory seat however.
That said, here is the diagram so you can build your own wiring harness.
I have power adjustable passenger seat in my '05, no memory but it is 6-way adjustable exactly like driver seat:
* seat moves fwd and backwards
* front of seat moves up and down
* rear of seat moves up and down
the tilt of seatbacks is manual lever to unlock to move it..
I added the power passenger seat to my '01 from an '04 F350. I used the plug from the heated seats that was already there to power the motors on the power seat. Had to move two pins around in the plug and it was all done. Works great, and I am using the fuse for the no longer used heated seat.
If you get both sides of the plug off that 06 seat you got, your task is sooooo much easier. Just splice power & ground into the wires on the plug from the donor truck and you are golden.
I had to move the wires in my fingers over to different pin holes to match the power and ground for the '04 seat. Just a ground and a fused hot on the truck side. The harness connector for the '04 power seat is on the right.
You could also tap into the power seat on the driver side, and run about 3' of wire under the carpet to the passenger side, then splice those into your plug. This way, you would have the feed fused as well.
You will just have to ignore my rusty junkyard seat frame there...it works!
