Are the repop valves any good? My F-1 does not have a shut off valve(OE tank). My electric fuel pump and filter are right under the tank so a valve would be nice for servicing those.
An in line valve would work as well, anyone using one of those?
Trying to figure out the best solution. Thanks
I didn't know anyone reproduced them. I found a 90* valve at NAPA. I didn't have one for 20 years but four no out the importance of one when I had a fuel line leak. I have one now.
If you have rubber, just use hose pinching plier's. Newer rubber works good, old rubber, I wouldn't gamble. A ball valve will work with steel lines. Good luck.
That's a needle valve. Their primary purpose is to regulate flow. Oh well.
I don't know what kind of valve it is. I didn't ask. I do know: "The one on it now looks a lot like this."
Obviously the valve on my truck is probably some sort of gate valve or something similar, designed to stop the flow of liquid. But, it is brass, has a T handle that "screws" in and it works. Oh well!

Fine and good, but there is no such thing as a gate valve with a T-handle. Just sayin'.
Thought about a ball valve, but are they designed to have gas in them? Seems like they have a plastic seal?
I want something that won't start leaking over time. Will check at NAPA tomorrow, see if they have anything. Thanks
They do make ball valves rated for gasoline, but generally not this small. Plug valves or globe valves (like the OEM) with brass seats are the best bet. Here's an old thread on what NAPA has to offer. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post12032021
I have a shutoff valve I found at O'Reilly's. I don't recall the exact one, but it fit the... 1/2 inch thread??? Then I found a 90 degree 1/2 inch to 5/8 inch barb for fuel line. Here's an image.

I have complete tank with WORKING shut off valve. I'd really like to sell entire tank w/valve, but would consider separating. Let me know ?????
