I thought it might be fun to hear about everyone's plans for Memorial Day and what you are pulling for your R&R. Of coarse we know how much everyone likes pictures, so add one or two.
Mine is a 9.5' Kodiak Camper with a 29' North River. My truck is a 2015 F-350. Pulls everything like a dream. Still not as good as my former F-450, but i'll take it.
Man what a beautiful looking boat! Can we get a side view of the rig? I just put our 5th wheel in the shop for them to finish repairs from when it was in last time. Leaving for the Florida panhandle on July 8.

Thanks. The boat is my baby. Some people obsess about their truck. I obsess about my boat. Here you are. What kind of repairs are you doing? Hopefully it gets out sooner than later. As we say in Alaska, winter is coming...
Nothing. Don't hit the highways on holidays. Too many people and too much traffic. Will be headed to the Sierras one week later.
X2 here. All the campgrounds jack the rates up because they can, and are packed to the gills. No thanks. We just got home today and will be heading to Ocean City Maryland the weekend after Memorial day.

Thats sad to me. Such a good weekend to get out and play. Aside from the traffic, it is usually pretty nice.
What about non-campground camping? I almost never stay in a formal campground. In both Alaska/Washington, I could always find an area that allows for camping once you get off the main highways.
I had my 5th wheel in the shop last fall because we had a RF blowout on my former 2002 F350 7.3L and ran the whole rig down the embankment. Finally coaxed it to a stop at the treeline, but had some body damage. Just getting a few tweaks to what should have been done when it was in the first time.
Since then, I have read a lot and watched some Youtube videos about how to properly react to sudden loss of pressure in a steering tire. It would have saved us the trouble of the body work.
Who would have guessed NOT to immediately start to pull over? As it turns out, you have to keep the towing vehicle on the original path until control is established, then steer off the road. This applies to any type (towing vehicle, car, diesel pusher RV, etc.), but it is very prevalent in the heavy load towing situation.

Thats good to know. I should watch some of those as I've never had to deal with that situation on the truck. I used to worry about that with some of my older lifted trucks. Lifted truck + camper made me nervous.
Glad you get it out soon and get to play. I love summer. I live to play....

There is pretty much nothing for non campground camping here in the northeast.
