I have several Dietz marker or clearance lights that I bought for my 70 F350 flatbed. I have sold that flatbed and now would like to get them off my workbench. These Dietz lights are the ones that were originally on the Ford flatbeds from 1967 to 72 and maybe beyond. They were also on the front fenders of some pre-1970 trucks to conform to the new DOT regs.
Hey, how you doin' Kingdom Heavy Hauler? Any heavy loads in your latest 6 wheel cart lately.
The fender ones were two wire while the flat bed ones were one wire.

Thanks, that's interesting. Was one wire for turn signals?
My 55 F350 was in storage for the winter. I got it out the last week of March. I did haul a bunch of sticks and branches that had blown down in my yard over the winter, but no picture.
Here is a pic of him in my driveway with my 54 F100 waiting to get worked on. I put a new pair of heads on her.
The flatbed ones grounded through the body to the bed. The fender ones didn't ground to fender through the lamps body. They had a two contact but single filament bulb. There was a thread on here the past couple of days about those bulbs.

Thanks Jeff. That is interesting. But for me it's a moot point as my 55 flatbed has the beehive clearance lights.

Well, it wasn't heavy hauling but my 55 F350 was out in the kingdom working. I mowed my first yard of the season today.
