1938 1/2 ton p/u parts interchange???

new member of the forum here. glad to have found this place. i am doing a 1938 p/u and need a few smaller items after having sourced all the missing OEM sheet metal. on the list is the front windshield frame. it appears (from what i have been able to see) that no one is reproducing any of the frames after 1936. i seem to remember seeing something that indicated that the windshield frame for the 38 p/u is the same as those for the closed car 1937-39 (in addition to the 39 p/u). can someone shed some light on interchangability of this part (if it exists). it seems that the car frames are a bit more plentiful than those identified as for the 38/39 p/u. any information on this would be most helpful to my search. many thanks

I measured a 39 truck windshield and the windshield in the 37 sedan and they sure looked the same. I have been told the are not the same size. If nothing else 38 and 39 truck interchanges. Technically the are not the same, the split in the sides is in the middle on 38 frames but is about 1/3 from the bottom on 39 frames.

i have been led to believe that the 37-39 sedan (closed car) and the 38-39 p/u were the same, but i haven't been able to actually substantiate it either. thanks for the little "tip" on the difference between the 38 and 39 p/u frame. i wasn't aware that there was that slight difference. i appreciate your taking the time to reply.
