20" wheels combo fit?

So I came across another sweet deal just not sure if it will work. Right now my Ex is stock height 4x4 and was thinking if I can pickup 20" wheels with tires with 16/32 tread life on them what mods besides a lift would I need to run them? Anyone make this setup for work with maybe just a 4" lift? I know the Ex typically runs less height than a F250 or obviously F350 but I don't want to dump a 6" lift if I don't need to. Nice tight fit works without added fender from wheel clearance. I know I'll need front spacers I'm sure. These wheels came off a F250 so they are correct lug pattern.

$800 was the selling price I negotiated but I don't want to dump another $1200 on a 6" lift if I dont need it.

By the way my Ex runs 4.30 gears so the tires size and lift won't affect it. I was told the 20" wheels with tires is equivalent to 34.5".

I run a set of 20" f250 lariat rims with no issues on my 4x4, no lift.

Be sure and use quality spacers, a lot is riding on them.

What kind of spacers did you run? Also what is the overall size of that tire wheel combo? The ones I was looking at is after market ones but I do like the ones you have. I just prefer black which is what the set I'm looking at is.

Yeah, find out FOR SURE what tires they are exactly so you know the true tire height. 34"s can fit, you may need a bit of clearancing here and there though. If you come out just a little too close it's easy enough to gain a small amount of front lift to get the room needed.
You will want the 2" HUBCENTRIC spacers on all 4 corners to correctly position the tires under the EX.

What year SD are these wheels coming off of? How did they fit it, were they in the stock locations or "stanced"?

I'm also going to be ordering a set of V/C nodded springs from Junior at ATS. Was thinking that will also help with any clearance issues avoiding a lift.

Umm, V/C(modded) will be an all spring lift.

That is a lift

It's not he wheel size that matters, it's the overall size. What tires are going on those 20's?

I have 20's on mine with 275/65 tire which comes out to about 34.5"

I have X/Cmod ATS springs.

Well if they are aftermarket rims, you may not need the spacers...For sure only the OEM rims need spacers.

On my 2WD Excursion with stock springs I run 20x9's with zero offset and LT305/55R20 Cooper AT3's (16/32nd tread depth), which is about a 33.5" diameter tire. I had to do a very tiny bit of sanding with my Dremel on the very ends of the plastic valence that wraps around the bottom of the front of the truck and into the fender well, or else the outer shoulder of the tires would rub against it. To go any bigger, I'd have to lift the truck. Remember mine is 2WD, so it already sits lower than a 4WD truck does.

These are after market rims not OEM. The tires are used but like I said the owner said they are 16/32 tread depth which I guess is not far from being new. I don't know nothing about brand new tires depth. He also said sorry they are 34.25 inches with the tires that are on them in total size. The tires brand is Gladiator QR900-MT and wheels are Mamba M12. Anyone know if those are good? He was asking $1000 but I offered lower and we settled if I buy on $800. If I could run those on my Excursion without a lift then I would be happy.

I know the ATS springs is a spring upgrade not a suspension lift but what I was referring to is that that ATS V/C modded will be a upgrade which essentially give me more height than what I have now and firm.

Hell if I don't need spacers on these even better. I will ask him if he knows what the offset is, he did say he was not sure on fitting on Excursion but that I could ask the LES Schwab tires if they will fit. Well I didn't do that because I would much rather ask my buddies here! They came off a 2008 F350 sorry not F250.

Here is what I found online to be if not exact but very similar to what I'm looking at. If I get tires and RIMs for $800 cash considering the cost of these online I think it is worth it if they will fit with minimal modification or any at all.

if they are from a 2008 f250 or 350, you will need spacers to run them on your excursion. If you want good spacers, they will cost you almost as much as you are going to have in the wheels and tires.

these are the spacers that I am running:
