Just noticed a small wet spot under my truck. Found a leak at the lower hose coming from the lower part of the degas bottle. See the attached diagram for exact location of the leak. I have a extended warranty with $100 deductable. Wondering if this would be a cheaper to repair myself or should I take it to Ford.
Considering it will need coolant and other items removed to replace the, I would pay them the 100 and let them change it even though the hose only cost about $25.00.
Sadly this is not covered under the ESP warranty. Dealer quoted me $300 to replace this hose. Decided to repair myself, $0.75 hose clamp. We're good to go now...
