I'm considering buying an 63 F250, and want to lower it. Can someone tell me what the differences are between the F100 and the 250 that might cause an issue with this? I'm not too concerned about the 8 lug wheel issue, but would happily swap them out if there's going to be compatibility problems.
I'd want to lower it with a dropped beam at the front, with an axle flip and frame notch at the rear. Will I run in to issues with F250 spindles in a Sids dropped beam, or are the F100 and F250 spindles the same? What about tie rods?
Also, does anyone know what the F250 axle diameter is, 2 3/4" or 3 1/4"?
Finally, what's the rear axle measurement? I'd consider changing to a 9" rear end if the F250 driveline is going to be an issue, so I'm interested to know if there's any bolt-in options for the rear end (other than a '63 F100 rear which might be hard to source).
