65-66 exhaust placement

I am installing a dual exhaust kit on a 65. the problem is I do not have the bed it is at a body shop. Can someone measure from bottom of frame to top of tailpipe behind rear wheel. With this info I should be able to bolt up exhaust.
Thank You in Advance

Mine is in front of the wheel at 4-1/2" below the frame.
If you're going behind the wheel I'd go about 3-1/2".

Are you asking about side exit or rear exit?

thanks , I've seen 6cyl under and v8 over in most pics I can find. Truck had a home made dual system that went under, but my new headers are about 90% shot over trans mount.

Drove the 65 with the exhaust routed to the front of the rear wheels, found after awhile the noise from the mufflers gave myself and passengers a migraine. Came across a reasonably priced shop who routed the pipes out the back to the rear of the wheel and they do not obstruct the under bed tire rack.

Dave, that sounds like a good system. I like to see the tailpipes exiting beneath the taillights at a 45* angle. They don't blow on your trailer that way....
