03 6.0 lack of power
It's me again, bothering you guys once more. Last time had a miss, ya'll suggested a short in the harness. Found what looked to be a short, fixed it and it ran much better. Took it out on the highway and it would haul butt, but the temp started going up so I brought it back and shut it down. I had put an aftermarket egr cooler hose on it and it was leaking pretty good. I pulled the turbo so I could get to it, fixed it, put it back together and cranked it. Cranks right up, runs good, but when you start down the road it's got what sounds like a valve clatter when you give it fuel and it has no real power. It'll get up to speed fairly good but it doesn't takeoff like it did. What did I screw up this time you think? I've double checked all connections, my fuel filter, even though it only has about 4000 miles on it, and I'm at a loss again! I really appreciate all the help you guys give me and I'm asking for that help again, please!! Thanks!!

I don't have a solution to your problem but you don't have ask for help like your bothering us. Most of us love helping and thrive to offer advice. Face it that is why we are here in the first place, to not only share our experiences but to help one another with their Fords!
