The hood on Dixie is riding up on the drivers side cowl pretty bad, maybe 1/2". I am going to replace the hinge springs and side hinges. I picked up NOS springs, but they have 2 fewer coils than what's on the truck. Thoughts? Should still be ok right?
Also, what color would the hinges and springs have been originally? The truck is black.
Does the flat washer, lock washer, and nut on the catch pin go on the underside of the underside guide band or in between the band and the catch plate?
