Don't forget, if you order a cab and chassis, they're derated considerably on HP and torque, have considerably stiffer suspension (as in, it really doesn't move), and I would assume it will be geared a lot lower than a pickup model, as is the case on a 350.

Also don't forget the frame is NOT fully boxed behind the cab on a chassis cab......flexy flexy.

You can actually get a 4.10 axle on a diesel 450 chassis cab, which is taller gearing than the pickup.
That's exactly what I'm doing. Just ordered a new 350 supercab DRW pickup. I will remove the bed and install my own, and then just put the pickup bed back on down the road when I trade it in. I made the mistake of ordering a cab/chassis once.....worst riding truck ever made lol. But I understand it was made to haul a lot more weight than I haul. I just haul a lot of 'stuff' and not necessarily a lot of weight.
