Purchased a lifted F3 50 brand-new has 200 miles on it when starting it up a message pops up saying "trailer connected"
Brought this to Ford and they changed out the module inside the truck, this did not work they want me to bring it back to go over all the wiring. Has anyone have any idea what else this could be as this is frustrating the **** out of me because it is a brand-new truck
Brought the truck in yesterday, they tested somethings and decided to order the module. The part came in this morning and I brought the truck in again to put the part in, after putting the part in, this still didn't fix the issue. I have an appointment on Thurday again to have them trace all the wiring.
What I am trying to get at is " do you consider this a 3rd attempt"?
I would take a guess that their is is a wiring issue or a short somewhere that is causing the trailer connected to come on the display, if the dealer changed out the module and the same issue is there, they need to chase that down with a schematic and see where the issue lies, could be a fuse blown, but I would be of the opinion it is a wiring issue.
I would classify it as a third attempt, how the dealer sees it and Ford views it, well that's a whole different story...
If you picked the truck up and the issue persisted, why did the dealer send it back to you in basically the same condition you took to them in?
They swapped a module, same problem was there and they gave it back to you. Why not delve into it further and fix it instead of having the customer return multiple times?
My appointment was @1:00pm they told me @3:30 that they need for me to leave the truck for them to diagnose it further, I had no way to leave it. So I set up something for Thursday to drop it off.
