6.0 excursion making funny noises after shutoff (clip attached)
I bought a 2004 excursion 4wd 6.0 EB Excursion a few weeks ago and I noticed it making clicking noises after I shut the engine off yesterday.
Its been throwing codes P0683 and P0404 intermittantly. (they clear themselves after a day or so and dont reappear for another three or four days)
Can anyone advise me on this noise?

Is that inside the Cab or under the hood? The auto climate control in our van made clicking noises when one of the AC blend motor actuators went out (stupid plastic gears). But it wasn't nearly that loud of a click.

I'm getting a stereo installed soon, how hard is it to replace the actuator? Maybe I could give the installer a few extra bucks to do that while he had the dash off?

Its from the inside of the cabin but remember recording video some things are way louder than in real life. thanks for the tip.

Easy way to tell if it's the damper is adjust the temperature set-point from full heating to full cooling and if you hear the noise that's your culprit.

Single zone HVAC is considered manual. Dual Zone is not. Dual zone will have two blend door actuators and two digital temp setting adjustments. The OP with the EB edition looks like dual zone to me.
