Hello, I have finally gotten my truck up, and running down the road with a little tlc. Now its time to move on to the interior, but this is where parts come in short supply.
The truck is a 1986 F-150 single cab of the XLT Lariat trim. 2wd with the 5.0l 302.
The parts that I am searching for are the power window switch bezels in chrome. Google and searching the forums have provided no solid answers since 2007, and parts are considerably harder to find now. I can find the lock bezels fairly easily. but for some reason the power window bezels are non-existent anywhere I have looked.
The bezels look like this: (right side of image, double bezel)
That's along the lines of what I was thinking. I also saw the black switch bezels for the mustangs that have the screw to hold it in place and was wondering if anyone had successfully modified the door panel to fit these.
I am very open to suggestions. If someone has done a mod to the door panel for new switches and bezels please share.
I have the old bezel that was unfortunately damaged upon removal, and I was thinking about getting a 3d scan done of the part. Then putting it a cad program, filling in the broken tabs, and 3D printing a new one with black or white abs plastic. Anyone done this before?
Just letting anyone who's still looking know that I found a driver side switch pigtail with the screws for the double power window bezel in an old barn out back (person who had taken apart the truck forgot about the extra pieces). While all of the bezels are broken, I was able to (by virtue of a really tight fit into the door panels and smashing the wires up behind the switch), fit the bezels and switches back into the panels and mounted them to the door.
In the future I will be replacing the door panels and pockets, so if anyone comes across a website that sells the bezels/switch pigtail-sockets it would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping to get a solid source for these parts so that anyone else who has had a problem finding these parts will have a concrete lead on the parts.

If you click on 81choptop's avatar you'll see he hasn't been active since June. Like others said, there are Dorman parts available at the auto parts store that will work just fine. No need to pay an arm and a leg for reproduction parts from LMC. Check it out!
