1987 Rear Transmission Mount?
Well, yesterday I was looking at the rear transmission mount on my '87 Bronco (under the transfer case) and it's pretty beat. I figured it'd be an easy enough thing to find a replacement. Well, it turns out 1987 Broncos before October used a different mount than all of the ones from later on. The guy at NAPA said they didn't even list anything for it, and when I went to Autozone, everything came up N/A for Broncos before October. I'm sure I'm not the only one with a worn out mount on an '87 Bronco...has anybody else found a source for this mount?? Thanks.

Manual, Automatic? the mounts differ ... does it look like two body mountswith a plate between them? My solution was to grab the crossmember from a later model truck and convert to the readily available later style mount.

It's got a C6 automatic in it. The mount has 3 bolts sticking down that go through the crossmember with a large round piece of rubber in the center. Then it bolts to the housing between the transmission and transfer case. That's a really good idea to grab the later style crossmember from a junkyard. I'll definitely look into that this fall if I can't get ahold of one like it has now. Thanks.
