'48 COE
'48 COE
Hi Folks,
Sorry to have been out of touch for a few months. I've been too swamped to check in on the forum, let alone play with my '47 1 ton. Anyway, I ran into this ad on Craigslist - someone is selling a '48 COE that runs, for what looks like a reasonable price. I realize this is one year younger than the focus of this forum, but I figured y'all might know of people who'd want to hear about this. I hope everyone has been having a good winter.

What does NEED ever have to do with acquiring another vintage Ford, lol. Oh wait, those old trucks are my opiate of choice, I seem to think I need to own everyone that I find within reach.
I was with my wife in her focus and we were racing for the ferry. You KNOW I would have at least stopped in for a look if I was alone. Besides, if we caught the 3:05 it would still be light enough out to mount the recently changed used tire and wheel onto my tonner parts truck. The whole time I was visiting my kids I was searching CL for a 3 speed truck tranny for the woodie. I had a thick blanket and some cardboard in the back of her wagon, jic. Opiates would be as pale as a bud light compared to the thrill of picking up another find.
