So why I'm figuring out all my electric issues, thought I would clean up my gauge cluster and panel.
Took everything apart, polished all the black and painted the needles.
I stripped the gauge panel to bare steel then used a gun bluing acid patina.
Burnished it back a bit with some 400 grit to highlight the ridges but leave the valleys dark, then clear coated.
That's a kool idea using the bluing technique on the gauge panel. We rebuilt a browning this past summer using that method for the finish on it. The gauge panel turned out great.
