COOP Country Squire Tire
Searching for one (1) of these tires: 7.50 x 17 COOP Country Squire. This one is in great shape and is from my grandfather's '46 1 Ton. Would like to find one to match it if there might be one out there somewhere. Thank you!

Thanks! This tire was probably installed on the truck in the late 60's or early 70's. It is in remarkable shape considering how long it has survived.

Edit - if I'd have looked closer, I'd have seen your tire's tread pattern is different. I've not seen that happen before. You can still hopefully use the CL search to find your matching tire. Stu
Oh boy, do I have empathy for you. Finding the needed brand and size, in a NOS tire, can be maddening and take years. I've been there. I know a guy that knows a guy that is said to have two 8-19.5" traction Country Squires. Same basic size as a 7.50-17, but close is no cigar. They won't fit your wheels. And apparently the guy is real proud of them.
I have one dead 7.50-17", worn out, cracks, but holes air. That's no help to you. Also my friend 1952henry has them on his truck, but similar old and used up.
I've periodically done a nationwide CL search for them with no success. Here's the search function I use when doing these searches. Hope you have luck finding your tire. Stu

Thanks Stu! I have been doing a Search All CL from time to time to see if one of these might pop up. Trying to find tires with the same or similar tread pattern is a challenge, especially when the tires have been out of production for some time. All we can do is keep searching!

I'd love to find nos Country Squires like the ones Stu pictured. As to the op's quest, I can't help, except to tease. I remember as a kid seeing rows of the Coop Country Squires like his in the back room of my hometown coop. Used to see a lot of 60s and 70s 4wds with them years ago. Some farmers had them on grain trucks as well.

I'd guess the OP's tire is from the late 70's early 80's. I have one in that tread pattern, but it's a 7.00-15. I also had a pair of those on a truck I bought in the mid 80's......they were pretty new at the time.
